DUDAMEL, GUSTAVO
Conductor of the
"Simón Bolívar" Youth
Orchestra of Venezuela, 2007
The Youth Orchestra of Venezuela arrived in Monterrey, Nuevo León, on
October 30 of this year. They took the country by storm.
Nice jackets, guys.
They played in several cities of Mexico and then in the big Bellas Artes
Performance Hall in Mexico City. They were proclaimed "a breath of
fresh air."
Their conductor, 26-year-old Gustavo Dudamel was treated as something of
a new musical star throughout Mexico and Latin America.
He gave a lot of interviews and always looked sharp.
Here he is on the balcony of his hotel. That's the dome of the
Bellas Artes behind him. Nice hair.
He got a lot of press and told the Mexico City daily, LA JORNADA, "Music
can change lives, and I am an example."
Keep up the good work, all of you!
