Mexican soccer player signed by Barcelona, Spain, May 11, 1989 -

          This young soccer player from Mexico recently signed with Barcelona, Spain, and is playing with the big leagues.  He looks about thirteen!

            All Mexico is thrilled, of course, and the dailies are following his career with great interest.

            Here he is being congratulated by his friend, Ronaldinho (!), after scoring the first goal in the 2007 Championships.  Good going, Giovanni!  (See also RONALDINHO.)
