"... Often during the
band's set at the Encore Theater or during intermission, off on the side
of the stage, we would have a tableau on view, sometimes visible to the
audience or sometimes with a little
peephole for the viewer to look through. ... One particularly eerie
tableau was called “Sweet Hour of Prayer” and the viewer had to poke his
head into a little slot and there he came face to face with a bloody killer
(Terry MacDonald) with upraised dripping knife about to be plunged for the
second time into the bleeding heart of an old lady (Joy Phipps) stabbed
while reading her now blood-splattered Bible. That sort of thing.

image of Terry and Joy which speaks to us still down through the decades."
